Denise Moser – Founding Executive Director.  

Denise is the Executive Director and lead instructor for FF4K; she is also an Athletic Trainer, Sports Strength & Conditioning coach, motivational speaker on youth sports/team building/sports psychology, a National presenter, College Professor, group fitness instructor & personal trainer.  Denise founded, established, and implemented FF4K as a successful non-profit organization from 2005-2011, serving over 2000 children during that time.  She holds a Masters degree in Exercise & Health Promotion and Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University.  After spending several years in the personal training industry throughout the DC/NOVA area, Denise went on to obtain a license in Health and Physical Education (K-12) through the Virginia Department of Education, and taught Sports Medicine, Health & PE in Fairfax County, VA from 2001 through 2015.  In 2016, Denise became licensed in Health & Physical Education through the Pennsylvania Department of Education (K-12).

 

Denise has been a long-time health & fitness presenter, and most recently began offering a "Brain-Matters" presentation (see workshop tab) to parents & teachers in Central Pennsylvania.  She is also a nationally certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness instructor, SPIN instructor, Speed and Agility Specialist, Youth Fitness instructor, CPR/First Aid instructor. Moser has been working with athletes (professional, collegiate, high school and younger), training clients, and teaching fitness classes for over 20 years.  Throughout her 18 year career in DC, she worked for an exclusive personal training company as well as The White House Athletic Center.  Her background also consists of Collegiate Athletic Training, high school Sports Medicine Teacher and CEO of a successful sports training/fitness company (Extreme Sports Advantage/ESA).  Denise was also a local (Reston, VA) sports anchor for a female sports talk show called "That's What She Said". In addition to one-on-one and small group personal training, she specializes in HITT training/bootcamp, Kickboxing, youth fitness and indoor cycle; she has self-created a weight/movement based spin class called "PULSE ride". Denise currently teaches Health, Physical Education, Anatomy & Physiology classes at Harrisburg area Community College; she is also the lead instructor for their ACSM Personal Training certification course.


Denise has written many youth fitness articles and has been recognized in over 10 local and national publications.  She has received several awards and recognition throughout the years - most notably, the President’s Council Community Leadership award in 2009; less than 15 people (nationally) receive this award each year based on their commitment to provide health/fitness programs in their community.  Denise keeps herself in the forefront of the fitness and education industry by attending and presenting at local & National conferences and to local school districts .
